  1. Boy, I'm glad I'm not a judge. I've read most of the books in the Suspense, First Novel, and Contemporary categories, and they were great.

From old favorites of mine (Athol Dickson, Lisa Samson, Jane Kirkpatrick, and Stephen Lawhead) to new ones (Stephen James, Tosca Lee, and Sibella Giorello), this is a fantastic list of authors.

  2. How very cool to see so many names of friends. I haven't read all or even most of the books on the list but I know those are incredible writers.

    Congratulations to all of you!

  3. Congratulations to all the finalists!

I've read a few of these books (Home to Holly Springs, by Jan Karon; Lady of Milkweed Manor, by Julie Klassen; In High Places by Tom Morrisey; What Lies Within, by Karen Ball--Yay, Karen!!!), and will be checking out more of them.

What is meant by the category title "Visionary?" Is that another way of saying Fantasy?

I've been a Stephen Lawhead fan for decades, but haven't yet read Scarlet, which is a sequel to Hood, right?

Lots of good stuff to read. *s*
