Rob Eagar is a unique expert in the field of marketing who defies normal labels. He's not a publicist, advertising guy, speakers bureau, social media nerd, or literary agent. Instead, Rob is an experienced marketing consultant, author, and speaker who helps individuals and organizations spread their message and sell products like wildfire.
His consulting firm, WildFire Marketing, has attracted a diverse range of clients including businesses, non-profits, and bestselling authors. Rob has worked with respected publishing houses including Zondervan (HarperCollins), Howard (Simon & Schuster), and Harvest House, plus consulted with well-known non-profits, such as Campus Crusade, Proverbs 31 Ministries, and Hearts at Home. He has also trained and worked with over 400 authors, including several New York Times bestsellers, such as Dr. Gary Chapman, Lysa TerKeurst, and Wanda Brunstetter.
Rob's marketing expertise helps clients experience dramatic results, such as:
- Increased book sales, product revenue, and donations.
- Improved branding that captures customer attention.
- Expanded business opportunities with new audiences.
- Larger speaking events at higher fees.
- Greater exposure via radio, TV, and social media.
Rob is the author of "Sell Your Book Like Wildfire," which is considered the bible of book marketing for authors and publishers of any genre. He is a contributor to numerous blogs and websites on marketing topics and serves as a weekly columnist for the Writer's Digest blog, "There Are No Rules." Rob is also a frequent speaker on marketing topics for writers conferences, publishing leadership events, and trade associations.
When Rob isn't consulting, you'll find him fly-fishing, flying down a rocky trail on his mountain bike, or loudly playing his drums. However, his wife, Ashley, prefers that he join her to quietly paint, work in their garden, or watch Jane Austen movies. They reside in Atlanta, Georgia.

My Take: As someone who teaches on platform and publicity, I wasn't sure I'd get much out of this book that I hadn't heard before. Boy was I wrong. Every author wants to sell more books but most have no clue about how to go about it, or simply regurgitate the same old, tired, overdone methods everyone else is using and getting minimal results. Sell Your BookLike Wildfire is simply put--one of the best books on book marketing around. I can't recommend it enough. A must have for every writer serious about getting their books into the hands of readers.
