Alive Literary Agent to Undergo Brain Surgery This AM (Please be praying)

(permission granted to share)

Dear friends and colleagues,
This week we received the unexpected and devastating news that Lee Hough has developed a tumor in the right frontal lobe of his brain.
Next Thursday morning, July 7 at 7:30 a.m., he will undergo brain surgery at Penrose Main Hospital, 2222 N. Nevada Ave. under the care of an A-team of leading neurosurgeons.

At a time like this, there are more questions than answers. Unfortunately, no further information about the tumor or Lee's prognosis will be available until after the procedure and lab tests.  Key information will be posted as it comes available, as noted below.

Lee, his three children and wife Paula, cherish your prayers at this difficult time.  Paula will regularly post updates about Lee on a website yet to be determined, but we will get that out to you before the July 7 surgery.
On the business front, all of us at Alive face some unique challenges in the weeks ahead. We are grateful Lee has handled pressing matters and stayed current with client/publisher needs. Nevertheless, emergencies will surely arise in the  future. If you need a thorny matter resolved immediately, please contact Lee's assistant Donna Lewis at:dlewis@alivecom.com. She'll help steer you to another agent who will gladly step in to help in Lee's absence.  Also, I am personally available by phone at the office number if anything slips past the thorny stage.
I appreciate your ongoing trust and confidence as we link together in prayer and support for Lee and his precious family.  He and Paula relay their personal gratitude for your love and concern, and regret that the immediacy of the news and surgery did not allow them to personally call each of you.
If you would, please relay details from this exchange to those in your circle who have had regular contact with Lee or who otherwise would want to know about this situation.
Thanks again for your prayers, all of which will form a safety net beneath Lee and Paula as they face the toughest fight of their lives.
With deep appreciation, Rick
