My father is a Marine who served on the front lines of Vietnam. He's seen things he wishes he could forget. Done things he wishes he didn't have to have done. Was sprayed directly with Agent Orange and has suffered severe health problems ever since, though you'll never hear him complain.
He did this in service of his country. In service of me and you. I'm so proud of him.
Novel Journey wants to thank all veterans who have risked their lives, lost their lives and served our country in whatever capacity they were asked to do.
We cannot thank you enough.
Readers, say a prayer today for our veterans and those still serving. They've done so much for us, this is one thing we can do for them.

Thank you so much, Gina. I agree! My grandfather enlisted in the Army and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. My father served in the Air Force, as did my husband, and my daughter is currently serving stateside in the Air Force Reserve.

We owe our freedom to those who served and are now defending us and keeping the terrorists at bay. God Bless those who've fought and are fighting for our freedom, in the Name of Jesus.
ReplyDeleteAmen and amen. My husband immigrated to America from England in 1964. He was drafted 6 months after he arrived, and even though he wasn't a citizen, he served in the U.S. Army and served proudly.
