How Creative Are You?

Four years ago I packed up all the other crafty type things I was involved with to focus solely on writing. For the most part, I didn’t miss it much. I had a goal to be published. But then this past September, my writing felt stale and I felt uninspired.

After talking to several friends, I reluctantly decided to take a break from writing. Later, on a whim, I drove by a Hobby Lobby and having nothing else to do, went inside. There, I finally found inspiration again—just not for my book.

I returned to some of my old loves, papercraft, baking, sewing, decorating, and started reading some of the magazines that use to inspire me to write, such as Victoria Magazine and Romantic Homes.

I’ve also been haunting some creative blogs that inspire me:
The Feathered Nest, The Graphics Fairy (today's image is from there,) and Inspire Company.

The good news is I’ve started to write again. So this week, I’m curious how many of you delve into other areas of art.

  1. Wow. This list reveals a very female leaning. This is why we males often feel so alienated in the Christian fiction market.

I like hiking, skiing, playing chess, reading, basketball, watching UFC, etc.

    Okay, that's my testosterone speaking.
